On Wednesday a 17 year old from Tauranga South was arrested on the corner of Cameron Road and 18th Avenue at 10.45pm charged with possessing a methamphetamine utensil and with obstructing police.

• A 30 year old man from Papamoa of unknown occupation was arrested in Mount Maunganui at 10pm on a charge of male assaults female.

• A 41 year old woman from Kauri Point Road Aongatete was arrested in Gil Lane at 8.35pm charged with driving with excess breath alcohol and with refusing to accompany a police officer.

• A 31 year old man who gave a Gisborne address, but is known to also live in Tauranga, was arrested at 1.20pm charged with burglary.

• Two teenagers were arrested in Coopers Road just after 7pm, charged with being unlawfully in a building and with speaking threateningly. A 16 year old from Coopers Road will appear in court on Monday, and an 18 year old from Tauriko will appear in court on Wednesday.

• A Rotorua woman is accused of shoplifting from businesses in Tauranga, Mount Maunganui and Papamoa. The 40 year old unemployed woman was arrested in Durham Street at 12.09pm on Wednesday, and is charged with about 10 offences.

• Two 16 year olds from Welcome Bay arrested in The Warehouse at lunchtime will have their shoplifting charges referred to Youth Aid.
