Wine win for Tauranga man

Tauranga man and Lake Chalice wine maker/founder Chris Gambitsis is elated with winning the trophy for the Lake Chalice Eyrie Pinot Gris 2009 at the 2010 Royal Easter Show Wine Awards on Saturday night.

The winning wine was one of eight Pinot Gris labels to win a gold medal and went on to win the trophy for the Pinot Gris division.

'It's a great reward to win a trophy for one of our wines.”
Royal Easter Show Wine Awards is New Zealand's oldest and most respected wine competition.
More than 1500 wines entered the competition.
