A 14 year old boy was arrested on Monday night and charged with a burglary that occurred at the Bay of Plenty Polytechnic's Windermere campus. He was arrested at the Tauranga Police Station at 7.30pm and has been referred to youth aid.

• At 5pm on Monday, a 30 year old Otumoetai man was arrested and charged with male assaults female. Police allege the man punched his partner in the head several times. He will appear in Tauranga District Court on Tuesday.

• Tauranga police arrested two men at 3.45pm on Monday and charged them with a theft that occurred on March 10. The 37 year old unemployed man from Tauranga and 18 year old landscaper from Merivale will appear in Tauranga District Court on Thursday.
