Zespri targets US market

Mount Maunganui based kiwifruit marketer Zespri has launched a campaign to raise the profile of kiwifruit in the US and get more Americans visiting New Zealand.
The company believes it is important for US consumers of kiwifruit to be aware the fruit originates from New Zealand.



The Great Kiwifruit Adventure Campaign is centred around a competition being run in conjunction with Tourism Bay of Plenty and Air New Zealand.
As part of the competition, US consumers are asked to answer three questions about the health benefits of kiwifruit.
They then enter the competition to win a trip for four people to New Zealand, valued at $10,000.
The winners will spend most of their New Zealand visit in the Tauranga and wider Bay of Plenty area.
The competition runs between May 17 - October 31, but is only open to those living in the US.
