Police busy at The Strand

Police made a number of arrests outside Tauranga bars early Friday for breaches of the liquor ban and other alcohol related charges.
At 9.15pm two people were arrested in the Masonic car park charged with breaching the liquor ban. A 22 year old man from Edgecumbe Raod and a 35 year old labourer from 4th Avenue will appear in court next week.

A 22 year old Bethlehem student was arrested on State Highway 2 at 9pm and charged with driving while disqualified.
A 22 year old unemployed man from Edgecumbe Road was arrested twice on The Strand. At 10.20pm he was charged with disorderly behaviour, and at 12.30am he was arrested again for breaching the liquor ban.
At 11.15pm an 18 year old Raglan man of unknown occupation was arrested in the Masonic car park for breaching the liquor ban. A few hours later other Raglan visitors were arrested outside the Grumpy Mole – a 21 year old at 2.52am, and an 18 year old at 3.53am for disorderly behaviour.
Other tourists arrested include an 18 year old from Tamihere in the Waikato at 2.30am picked up outside the Grumpy Mole for breaching the liquor ban. At 3.38am a 27 year old labourer from Hilltop, Taupo was arrested for breaching the liquor ban. Tauranga police say he was on bail with a condition he not consume alcohol, so he is also charged with breaching his bail, and with possessing cannabis.
At 12.55am outside the Crown and Badger an 18 year old man from Judea was arrested for breaching the liquor ban. At 1am an 18 year old from Bellevue was arrested outside the Crown and Badger for breaching the liquor ban.
Outside the Bier House at 2.09am a 19 year old roofer from Welcome Bay was arrested charged with common assault. Outside Cactus Jack's at 1am a 33 year old Welder from Mount Maunganui was arrested for fighting.
An 18 year old woman was arrested in Harrington Street at 3am charged with fighting. An 18 year old student from Pyes Pa was arrested outside the Grumpy Mole at 3am, charged with obstructing police. A 22 year old unemployed man from Pyes Pa was arrested outside the Grumpy mole at 3.15am charged with disorderly behaviour.
In an arrest away from The Strand, Tauranga police say a 41 year old unemployed man who was drunk was arrested in Waitaha Road, Welcome Bay, charged with disorderly behaviour.

Where is the beneifit in naming the Business these people where arrested outside .? These people breaching the liquor ban clearly where not drinking in the establishments you name .......They would have been either across the road or drinking something they got somewhere else either from an other bar or from the boot of the car or someones hand bag??? Ps Catus Jacks is in Rotorua isnt it ?
