Boost for social services

Four Tauranga social services organisations will benefit from the latest round of Community Response Fund grants.
Tauranga Budget Advisory Service will receive $44,500; Parent to Parent Coastal BOP, $49,300; Homes of Hope, $20,000; and Toughlove Tauranga/Coastal BOP Inc, $25,000.

The Community Response Fund was established in May 2009 as a consequence of the economic downturn. It assists groups providing vital social services which are under severe financial strain or experiencing increased demand.
Up to $104 million is being made available nationwide over two years.
