Boy rescued from remote spot

The TrustPower TECT Rescue Helicopter flew Tauranga based St John medical staff to a remote area near Te Kaha on Wednesday afternoon to assist a boy who had fallen off a gate.
The two Tauranga St John medical staff were flown to Mangaroa Station, about an hour inland of Te Kaha in the eastern Bay of Plenty at 2pm.

The TrustPower TECT Rescue Helicopter lands at the remote Mangaroa Station to rescue a 10 year old boy. Picture supplied by Liam Brettkelly of the TrustPower TECT Rescue Helicopter.

A 10 year old boy holidaying at the station with his family was trying to climb a fence but had fallen off and broken his arm.
The boy arrived at Tauranga Hospital at about 4.30pm.
