Tauranga Sunrise Lions Club donated $500 to Tauranga Foodbank last month. The money was raised from the club's weekly Car Fair held at the 11th Avenue car park every Sunday from 8am-12noon.
Club member Paul Noble says the club is keen to help organisations such as the foodbank that offer a hand up, not a hand out. More than 80 per cent of the money raised by the Tauranga Sunrise Lions Club is donated to Bay of Plenty groups, with the balance going to national and international charities Lions supports.
